Essential oils and essential oil-infused products can help soothe your mind and body naturally, bringing tranquility and restfulness to your bedtime when occasional stresses or preoccupations keep you awake.
You can diffuse the oils or put them on topically. you can even make teas with the oils or take them in capsule form like Sleep Essence to help you sleep more easily and deeply.
My personal favorites are a drop or two of Valor blend applied to the instep of both my feet, lower back and behind my ears and Lavender on my belly and shoulders. Sometimes I make a tea of hot water with a drop of valerian and lavender or roman chamomile to induce a relaxed, deep sleep. Most children love Peace & Calming blend. Lavender in hot water to make a tea or added to tea or hot chocolate is very calming and tastes good too.
Try these essential oils listed below to support restful sleep. Most all of the ones listed below work well by putting on topically on the wrists, temples or behind the ears and on the instep of the underneath of the foot. **Caution. When applying these to children, dilute them with olive oil or another carrier oil – pour about a 1/2″ -1″ diameter of the carrier oil into your palm, add one or two drops of the essential oil and then apply.
